DIGITAL ART FAIR XPERIENCE HONG KONG 2022 - POST FAIR REPORT

DIGITAL ART FAIR CONCLUDES ITS SECOND EDITION WITH OVER 10,000 VISITORS AND NEW AUCTION RECORD OF LONDON-BASED CHINESE ARTIST JACKY TSAI, THE DIGITAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR OF DIGITAL ART FAIR 2022.


  • The second edition of Digital Art Fair welcomed more than 10,000 visitors over the 18 days from 20 October – 6 November 2022.

  • More than 1000 VIP guests visited the private preview of Digital Art Fair Xperience Hong Kong 2022, including ultra-high net worth individuals, professionals and influencers invited by our sponsors and partners such as LG (about 150 guests), Goldman Sachs, Sotheby's, Pernod Ricard, Shangri La, Bloomberg, GUCCI, M+ Museum, Hang Seng Bank, Sandbox, Hong Kong Tatler, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Invest HK, etc.

  • This year, Digital Art Fair was delighted to launch DAFAx, a brand-new Digital Art Exchange and marketplace that features a self-sustaining art ecosystem where artists, collectors, dealers and gallerists from around the world can exhibit, sell and collect NFT fine art. DAFAx has sold two important works by American NFT artist FEWOCiOUS for 100 ETH to an important international digital art collection and Refik Anadol's iconic work for 50 ETH to an important private collector based in Hong Kong.

  • In collaboration with Sotheby’s, the fair’s auctioneer partner, Digital Art Fair’s Xperience Digital Art Auction has achieved over HK$ 8 million;

  • London-based Chinese artist Jacky Tsai’s immersive room “Jacky Tsai’s Golden 10 years” has sold for more than HK$ 2.5 million, a new auction record for the artist;

  • The Sandbox and Index Game sold their first metaverse IP Kowloon Walled City – Character Collage and land as a NFT for HK$ 819,000, setting a new auction record for Hong Kong metaverse art;

  • Through My Ais, a video art piece by the first Metahuman artist in Hong Kong MonoC, has been sold to dsl collection, one of the major Chinese Contemporary Art collections in the world, in the post-auction sale;

  • The Women’s Foundation launched its first ever NFT project in collaboration with Hanson Robotics’ AI Robot Sophia and Hong Kong artist Sophia Hotung at Digital Art Fair Xperience, which sold for HK$ 88,200 in the Sotheby’s auction. All the proceeds will be donated to encourage greater diversity and inclusivity within the tech and crypto industries, as well as promote greater gender equality through technology.

  • Continuing our collaboration with All.Art, this year's fair can be viewed online and on a virtual headset, as Digital Art Fair strengthens its position as a leading voice in innovation and art display
